Summary

Our interior renovation experts were tasked with executing a sophisticated medical space renovation with a high design finish in a condensed timeline.

The Challenges

The owner of this medical facility had promised investors a full-scale interior renovation within a very tight time frame. Metropolitan Build was hired to take over for another firm that had struggled to collaborate effectively with the owner’s representative. By the time Metropolitan Build came on board, our team had only about 4 months to substantially complete 6 months’ worth of renovation to a gray box building.

In addition to the expedited project timeline, the medical facility required specialized equipment and air filtration systems. Before the facility could be used, our team had to ensure that operating rooms were protected from air particulates passing through other areas of the building. We also needed to construct a special laboratory that had been designed with tight specifications for where and how equipment was installed.

The Metropolitan Build Solution

We selected and engaged talented subcontractors that were willing to work on an expedited timeline to complete the renovation. We identified and resolved a critical error in the engineering calculations for the labs and operating rooms, and ordered specialized mechanical equipment to enable operational use. By working around the clock, we were able to finish the renovation on time and within budget.
